00:00I mean, in the American League, there's a lot of different directions that you can go.
00:04And it has not been a great year, by the way, for the American League in general.
00:07Not a lot of teams playing great baseball.
00:09Bats and offense are down.
00:12Pitching is up.
00:13Is there anything that has piqued your interest here from the American League All-Stars here?
00:17And this is on Kalshi.
00:19Yeah, there's a lot of players that I would like to buy into.
00:22You know, Murakami, if you were to stay healthy, I think he'd be a really interesting option.
00:27I want to go a little bit off the board here with Dylan Dingler for the Detroit Tigers.
00:32He has been absolutely awesome behind the play.
00:35Also bringing a ton of offense, which we really haven't expected.
00:39And just where the position of catcher sits overall, not just this year, but generally.
00:44It's generally one of the weaker positions.
00:45So getting a player that I'm going to say is doing his part to help stabilize the Tigers' rotation,
00:51which has been all over the place, obviously dealing with the injuries.
00:54But a lot of offense from him, which is rather surprising.
00:56He deserves a nod.
01:00Yeah, the National League is interesting, too, here, Tom,
01:04because I'm looking at some of these prices, and health is an interesting aspect, right?
01:09But Acuna Jr. at 50 cents, right, hanging in there.
01:13I always like to look at the terrible teams because, you know,
01:16somebody's got to make it to the team, right?
01:18So, I mean, what's the best of the rest here in some of these?
01:22Where's some of the value in the National League here in these markets?
01:26You know, that's a great question of where we're going to be looking because we do know that, you know,
01:31players from each team will be going there.
01:34You know, Cougar not being healthy.
01:35We could look to Michael Harris, who's having a resurgent season.
01:38You know, Matt Olsen started up the season incredibly strong.
01:41He's kind of cooled off a little bit since then.
01:43You know, everyone's going to be looking at Skeens and Chris Sanchez and all these options.
01:47You know, Craig, I want to go with you.
01:48I want to go with another guy.
01:49Liam Hicks has been great, right?
01:52And we're talking about a position that, again, doesn't get a ton of production normally.
01:57I know he's batting DH in a lot of circumstances.
01:59But between him, between Ana Lopez, and between Xavier Edwards for the Marlins,
02:03I think they've all been fantastic this year.
02:05We're seeing plenty of production on the top of the lineup from them.
02:08You know, when it comes to the Giants, we want to look a little bit off the board.
02:12Matt Chapman has had quite a resurgence.
02:14I don't think it'll end up being him, but he still deserves a little bit of consideration.
02:17Jung Ho Lee is on a, what, 15, 16-game hitting streak after he came back from an injury.
02:22We've got to look off the board for some of those options.
02:25Let's take a look at the home run derby here.
02:28Now, last year, I felt like Junior Caminero had a great shot to win.
02:32And so I do think there's a great shot that he is back in this year.
02:36But it still remains to be seen.
02:38The one intriguing name here, Tom, is Mike Trout.
02:43Now, people may wonder and say, why would Mike Trout do the home run derby?
02:47Well, the reason why is because, again, the All-Star game is in Philadelphia.
02:50That's why he's at 37%, and the only reason why he's at 37%.
02:55But you would have to assume, you know, no Aaron Judge.
02:59You would have to think to yourself which offensive players would choose to participate in the home run derby this
03:06year.
03:06We know Pete Alonzo wants to every year, but I don't know that he'll be back.
03:09But that would be an interesting name for me as well.
03:11But Caminero would seemingly be a lock for me.
03:14Right.
03:14I would say Caminero, Schwarber, since it's going to be in Philly.
03:18To your point with Mike Trout, he is from the Philly area.
03:22It also would just be like one last hurrah for him.
03:25You know, we know his health hasn't been there over the last few years.
03:27If he's healthy right now and has a chance to give us one more home run derby, I would say
03:31go for that.
03:32Obviously, his name has always been speculated about being traded to the Phillies, you know, over the course of the
03:37last few years again because he's from the area.
03:38But Schwarber, Caminero, again, I would like to see Murakami there if he's healthy and ready to go.
03:44But Trout is certainly an interesting option, given you all the storylines that we have going on.
