A tornado swept through Kouts, Indiana, leaving a trail of destruction on June 12. Drone video from storm chaser Aaron Rigsby reveals a long ground scar revealing the tornado's track across the area.

00:00It's the morning after a large-scale tornado outbreak struck areas of northern Illinois.
00:06And this morning, the damage that was left behind is being revealed.
00:11Here in Kautz, Indiana, a very powerful and potentially violent tornado tore a long track path through this area.
00:20And right behind me, these are high-tension power lines that were taken down by the ferocious winds.
00:25But it's not just this one behind me.
00:27There are several areas of these high-tension power lines that were absolutely buckled, crippled, and tossed from their location.
00:36And unfortunately, several homes that were caught in the path of this tornado were violently damaged,
00:41some of which were swept clean off of their foundations as it passed just north of town.
00:47From above, a long ground scar can be seen from where this tornado tracked,
00:52dug up all of the mud and trench work through these fields as it carved that path of destruction
00:58for at least 5 to 10 miles, if not longer.
01:03And this was all one continuous track tornado.
01:05This was a very violent tornado.
01:07And this is a tornado that is likely going to be capable of producing EF3-plus-type damage
01:12as those surveys continue this afternoon and into the evening hours
01:16as they gain access to more and more locations along this damage path.
