Severe storms left more than 40,000 homes and businesses without power across Pennsylvania last night. Bill Wadell shows us the impacts near Harrisburg.

00:00Trees crashing down onto streets. Power lines left tangled on the roads. Storms left behind a mess in Pennsylvania.
00:09It was just a lot of swirling with the trees and I heard the trees cracking and I thought, well,
00:14I just better get in the house quick.
00:16So I did and then I heard a lot of noise, a lot of trees falling.
00:22Cheryl Hamaker and her neighbors left without power and a big mess near Harrisburg.

00:33The latest round of severe weather fueled by intense heat and humidity.
00:38AccuWeather Real Field temperatures reached 104 degrees in Allentown, sending kids and parents to splash pads and pools to cool

00:48That heat and humidity will fuel another round of severe weather across parts of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic on
00:54Friday.
00:54Those storms could sideline plans for outdoor events and festivals heading into the weekend.
