00:00So, last night, Aaliyah Ballston and Kaitlyn Clark are the first WNBA teammates to have 30-point double-doubles,
00:08and they beat a bad Chicago Sky team last night in overtime because they couldn't beat this bad team in
00:17regulation.
00:17And I was talking about villains in the last segment and talking about Wemby,
00:21but another thing happened during the game that we have to discuss if we're going to be intellectually honest.
00:28Because, again, I'm going to be honest, I'm not going to at all be controversial because I promised that I
00:34would not be.
00:35Go ahead and put it on the screen.
00:37So, during that, Kaitlyn Clark got a technical foul in the third quarter.
00:44It's her third technical foul already of this season because she didn't get a foul call.
00:50We already know she didn't get a technical last week when she literally went up to a referee and told
00:56the referee to shut the bleep up.
01:00Okay?
01:01I recognize that Kaitlyn Clark is a lot of people's hero.
01:04And I'll even recognize the reasons why.
01:07And I don't want to say them.
01:09You know the reason why so many people love Kaitlyn Clark.
01:13But I'm going to say this.
01:14Kaitlyn Clark's also a villain.
01:16She is the most unlikable player, not in the WNBA, in basketball.
01:22Well, say what you want about Wemby.
01:24Wemby is infinitely more likable than Kaitlyn Clark.
01:27So is everyone else.
01:28LeBron James, infinitely more likable.
01:31All she does is whine to the refs and complain, and she should already be thrown out of games.
01:36Okay?
01:37I'm not saying she's completely talentless.
01:39She has a ton of talent.
01:41And while her team isn't that good, it's a good team, they made it to the conference finals without her
01:46last year, so they should make it to the finals with her this year.
01:49In theory, she's not a likable player.
01:52Okay?
01:53And we know the real reasons why people like her.
01:56Okay?
01:56And I'm just trying to be honest here.
01:59Last night's another example of it.
02:02Because you have people out there that don't respect the WNBA.
02:06And I do.
02:07You see, I've worked with people in the past.
02:09I've worked with some people now who don't respect the WNBA.
02:13They don't respect the game of women's basketball.
02:15And because of that, what some people do is they latch on to certain people, and they can look at
02:19a box score and not have to do the work of watching any games and go, look, the player I
02:24picked is great.
02:25And then they can feel good about themselves because they believe that they're giving lip service to women's sports.
02:30That's some of them.
02:31Some of them have other ulterior, more negative, sinister moments, but motives.
02:35But I won't get into those.
02:36But the bottom line is she's not a likable player.
02:39And if you're going to be the face of the league, okay, you can be a villain, right, but you
02:46can't act like a villain.
02:47Now, WNBA's out there playing basketball, for example.
02:49LeBron just goes out there and plays basketball.
02:51And then LeBron will say something like about bringing his child to the game, and people will hate him.
02:56LeBron will say he thinks he's the GOAT, and then people will hate him.
02:59But in between, during the basketball game, all you've seen from LeBron is 20-plus years of greatness.
03:05That's all you've seen when you look at the GOAT.
03:08But now you look at her, and all she seems to be doing is complaining to referees, and then we're
03:15supposed to root for her why.
03:18She doesn't, she has not, since she's been in the WNBA, giving me one damn good reason to root for
03:25her, okay?
03:26She only gives me reason to root against her, okay?
03:30If you're going to be great and be peacocking, then go all the way with it.
03:34Go for Ricky Henderson, for people old enough to know about Ricky Henderson, where Ricky talked about being Ricky.
03:40He referred to himself as Ricky.
03:43Go all the way if you're going to do it, or you shut up, okay?
03:48But this whining to the referees nonstop, overshadowing her teammates, and also these 30-point double-doubles that need overtime
03:57against a bad team,
03:58when did we start giving credit to basketball players for that?
04:02I thought we judged basketball players for how they did in the biggest moments.
04:06What's the spot in which we hold LeBron James most accountable for?
04:09It's not how he played against, you know, some of the bad teams over the years, the Charlotte Hornets of
04:15the world, Orlando when they're bad, etc.
04:19It was how he did in the finals against Dirk when the big three came up short that first year
04:26in the finals.
04:27That's the real reason why a lot of people like Ethan, for example, the producer, doesn't think LeBron's the GOAT
04:33because he lost that series in the finals, okay?
04:36He is the GOAT, but I understand that's where it comes from.
04:40But in the case of Kaitlin Clark, we've got to stop.
04:42Let's get started here.
04:42Let's to stop.
04:42Let's put this.
