Numerous severe thunderstorms across the Midwest could cause tornadoes and other destructive weather on June 10, as storm chaser Aaron Rigsby explains.

00:00Here in Bethany, Missouri, a very moist and unstable air mass has settled into place,
00:05setting the stage for yet another day of severe weather, capable of producing widespread damaging winds,
00:11large hail, and the potential for not just one, but multiple strong EF2 plus type tornadoes.
00:18As this area sits under an extreme amount of instability, some Cape values exceeding up to 4,000 joules per
00:25kilogram.
00:26This whole area throughout the evening hours are going to be affected by numerous severe thunderstorms moving through this area,
00:33and any of those dominant supercells are going to be the ones that are capable of producing those strong tornadoes
00:39well into the evening hours before all of these storms congeal together in a very powerful line of damaging winds,
00:46potentially up to 90, even 100 miles an hour in places due to the extreme amounts of instability
00:52that has settled into this area of northern Missouri, southern Iowa, and into western Illinois
00:58and potentially areas of southern Wisconsin.
