President Donald Trump has signaled the possibility of further military action against Iran following a sharp escalation in tensions around the Strait of Hormuz. Speaking after recent U.S. strikes, Trump said Iran would be hit “very hard” if hostilities continue, while also leaving the door open for a diplomatic agreement. The comments came after the reported downing of a U.S. Apache helicopter and subsequent American strikes targeting Iranian military infrastructure. As both sides exchange threats and military responses, concerns are growing over regional stability, global energy supplies, and the risk of a broader conflict across the Middle East.

00:00You posted this morning about Iran.
00:01You said that they've taken too long to get to a deal.
00:03I want to make sure I quote you correctly.
00:05You said that now they will have to pay the price.
00:08What did you mean by that specifically?
00:09Well, we're going to be attacking them and attacking them very hard.
00:12Resuming bombing?
00:14Yeah, well, we are.
00:15Based on the helicopter, I guess we have the right to do that.
00:18You know, they shot down a very incredible, actually an incredible machine.
00:24And at first they said they didn't do it.
00:27Then they admitted they did.
00:28And it was sort of easy because we have the bomb.
00:31We actually have the bomb.
00:32We got very lucky that bomb didn't explode.
00:35That bomb was lodged in the helicopter.
00:37It didn't explode.
00:38It was on fire, but it didn't explode.
00:40Those two guys, they knew how to fly, but they got very lucky.
00:45And then we had the unmanned boat going very, very fast at speeds that you wouldn't want to go.
00:52That's why it's unmanned, I guess, because nobody can go in that.
00:55But they rescued some of the both, both people are, fortunately, the pilots are okay.
01:01No, no, I've been working with Iran for a number of months and they should sign their deal.
01:12It's a good deal, it doesn't give them the right to have a nuclear weapon.
01:15In fact, it totally prohibits them from ever having a nuclear weapon.
01:21And it was just tap, tap, tap.
01:24I don't know what they're doing.
01:26So they then shot out, a shot at our helicopter.
01:32Very expensive helicopter, by the way.
01:34But much more importantly, the two men, fortunately, they're okay.
01:38But an amazing rescue, if you ever get a clip, you won't believe the rescue, how cool it was.
01:44The equipment we have.
01:45Look, we have the strongest military in the world.
01:48And I gave them a break at the request of Pakistan, the field marshal and the prime minister of Pakistan
01:55are great.
01:56We stopped them from going to war with India.
01:58You would have had a nuclear war if it wasn't for me.
02:01But they became friendly to me, very friendly.
02:04And they're close to Iran and they work.
02:07And they still are working on trying them to do what's right.
02:10But we want a deal that's meaningful.
02:12We want a deal that works.
02:13We don't want to just have a Barack Hussein Obama deal, JCPOA, the worst deal.
02:19That was a path to a nuclear.
02:21It's the exact opposite.
02:22You know, I like on television, they say, oh, they should have kept that deal.
02:25First of all, it was over.
02:26It was a short-term deal.
02:28But that deal was a path to a nuclear weapon.
02:32This is a path against a nuclear.
02:35You can't have a nuclear weapon.
02:37His was a path to a nuclear weapon.
02:39They were developing during his administration a nuclear weapon.
02:44If they had a nuclear weapon, there'd be no Israel, there'd be no Middle East, and they would have absolutely
02:51shot at us.
02:52So we'll see what happens.
02:55But we hit them hard yesterday, and we're going to hit them again hard today, in case you miss it,
03:02in case you don't turn on your television set.
03:05And we'll see what happens with the deal.
03:07We were really close to a deal, but they keep tapping us along.
03:10They keep playing us for suckers, because you know what?
03:13They dealt with some very stupid presidents.
03:15I have to say that.
03:16I'm embarrassed to say it.
03:17Some very stupid people were sitting here.
03:19Yeah.
