“I Love Inflation,” Trump says while dismissing rising price concerns as the U.S. economy faces renewed pressure from global oil tensions and the strategic Strait of Hormuz. In this report, we break down Trump’s latest remarks, the impact of oil supply routes through Hormuz, and why energy markets are reacting strongly to geopolitical developments. The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most critical oil chokepoints, and any disruption can quickly influence global inflation and fuel prices.

00:00You know what I really love? I love the inflation. You know why?
00:03Because as soon as this war is over, you know, I can say it now.
00:08Something you didn't know. Do you know we've been taking out millions of barrels of oil?
00:13Nobody knows it. You know who doesn't know about it? Iran, until right now.
00:19We took out the other night 22 ships, late at night with no lights,
00:24because they don't have any radar because we blasted the crap out of it.
00:27Are you concerned, Mr. President, about the latest inflation number, which came out this morning?
00:32Could that be a headwind?
00:33The numbers were great. You know what I really love? I love the inflation. You know why?
00:38Because as soon as this war is over, you know, I can say it now.
00:43Something you didn't know. Do you know we've been taking out millions of barrels of oil?
00:48Nobody knows it. You know who doesn't know about it? Iran, until right now.
00:54We took out the other night 22 ships, late at night with no lights,
00:59because they don't have any radar, because we blasted the crap out of it.
01:02We took out—that's why oil is $85 a barrel.
01:06I mean, you take a look.
01:08Remember when I did this, I said, look, the one bad thing will be,
01:12we hit the best economy we've ever hit.
01:15And I said to my people—I had Scott, I had Howard, I had Pete, I had all of them.
01:20I had Todd in the room.
01:22I said, the one thing we have to do now—we had just hit the highest stock market in history,
01:29highest 401ks in history.
01:31Everything was going well.
01:32And I said, I hate to do this to you guys, but Iran's going to have a nuclear weapon very
01:36soon.
01:37We have to go and attack.
01:38So we hit them with the B-2 bombers, which took a lot of courage.
01:43It was totally successful.
01:45We buried it very hard to get.
01:48But now we had to make the second move.
01:51And I said, you know, the bad part is the stock market will go down by a lot,
01:56based on predictions of experts, like 25 percent.
02:00And it was worth it.
02:01To me, it was worth it, not to have a nuclear weapon.
02:03And the other thing is that oil would go to $250 a barrel.
02:07It's at $85,000, which is pretty amazing.
02:12And here's the key.
02:14We just hit today another stock market high.
02:16It's 74.
02:18In my short time here, 74 days we had stock market all-time historical highs.
02:23Nobody can believe it.
02:25The Dow, the S&P.
02:27The S&P was at 7,000, they said, in four years, maybe five years.
02:33It will never hit it during the term.
02:34It was too much.
02:35I hit it in my first year.
02:37I hit on the Dow.
02:41It was 50,000 was an impossible number.
02:44They said five, six years I'll get hit.
02:46Well, I hit it in my first year.
02:48And now I get everyone in the room and say, congratulations, but now I'm going to take it down a
02:52little bit,
02:53because we cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon.
02:55And they all agreed with me.
02:56Todd, you remember?
02:57Everybody agreed.
02:59And we took a little journey down to Iran.
03:01We first stopped off at Venezuela, by the way.
03:03And we have paid for that war many, many times over.
03:08And we have great relationships with the people of Venezuela.
03:12We get along with them great.
03:13It was a great success.
03:15It was a one-day war.
03:16It was really, to be exact, 48 minutes of fury.
03:20And it was over.
03:22And Venezuela is doing great.
03:25Relationships with the people are great.
03:27It's become a happy country, believe it or not.
03:30I mean, it's become a happy country.
03:31And we're taking out millions of barrels of oil from Venezuela.
03:36And then we went to Iran.
03:39And essentially, we've done the same thing.
03:42It doesn't look as pretty, but there's no Navy.
03:46159 ships at the bottom of the sea.
03:48There's no air force.
03:49All of their planes are blown up.
03:51Most of their drones are gone.
03:53Most of their drone-making ability is gone.
03:55Most of their missiles are gone.
03:57All of their leadership is gone.
03:59So they replaced it.
04:01All of that leadership is gone.
04:02So they replaced it.
04:04And that's the people we're dealing with now.
04:07And I think they're going to want to make a deal, but we're going to find out.
04:11The inflation had come down between now and November.
04:15When the war is over, it's coming down.
04:18I know you can't.
04:19It's going to come down like a rock.
04:21And, again, we're taking out millions, which I'm just announcing today for the first time.
04:28But we've been taking out millions of barrels of oil.
04:34Millions of barrels.
04:36Every night, we took out oil.
04:38But now I'm going to tell you, because they just figured it out.
04:41So now that they figured it out, I can tell you.
04:43It was very hard for me.
04:45I wanted to say it so badly, but I didn't want to ruin it.
04:49But it was very hard.
04:50But millions of barrels of oil has come out.
04:53And that's why it said $85, $90 a barrel instead of $250.
04:57But we have the greatest military in the world, the toughest military in the world, just the best in every
05:06way.
05:06Nobody even close.
05:07There's no military that's even close.
05:09I rebuilt it during my first term.
05:11I'm using it now.
05:14When this conflict is over, Todd said, please go into conflict, right, as opposed to the word joint.
05:20He didn't like the word war, but it's sort of a conflict.
05:24It's a military operation.
05:26When it's over, you will see oil drop to where it was before.
05:30We were getting gasoline just before it started.
05:32I was in Iowa, and we passed gas stations $1.85 a gallon.
05:39And we'll be back at those levels very soon.
05:41Thank you very much, everybody.
05:43Thank you, Russ.
05:45Thank you, Russ.
05:46Thank you, guys.
05:46Thank you, guys.
05:47Thank you, guys.
05:49Ready?
05:53You're the only ones.
05:54Yeah.
05:58See, Biden wouldn't do this.
06:00No, he wouldn't.
06:01He needed a machine.
06:02That's fine.
06:02That's a whole deal right there.
06:05Okay.
06:06That's it.
