00:00The Attorney-General's chambers has classified its investigation into allegations of criminal intimidation by controversial businessman Albert Tay against former

00:11Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Chief Azam Baki as no further action.

00:16The AGC said a review of the investigation papers opened under Section 506 of the Penal Code found insufficient evidence

00:25to establish the offence of criminal intimidation.

00:28Bukit Aman's Criminal Investigation Department launched an investigation following Tay's claim that Azam had threatened him in connection with an

00:38alleged Sabah corruption scandal.

00:41Azam denied Tay's allegations and told police he had never met the businessman or had any dealings with him.

00:48Separately, Azam filed a defamation suit against Tay over several online publications and reposts, including content on a podcast and

00:57YouTube shorts.

00:59Messrs Zain, Magad and Murad representing Azam said the writ of summons and statement of claim were filed at the

01:06Shah Alam High Court on Monday.
