Taiwan Coast Guard Condemns China for Intruding Into EEZ off East Coast

Taiwan’s coast guard is accusing China of carrying out what it calls a staged law enforcement operation. China said on Wednesday that it had conducted a special operation in waters off Taiwan’s east coast. Taiwan’s coast guard rejected the claim, saying those waters fall within Taiwan’s Exclusive Economic Zone and that China has no jurisdiction there.
