00:00How serious is it, the idea that, you know, perhaps Israel and the United States are going in different directions?
00:07That is very serious and very problematic to the state of Israel.
00:10We need to remember that one of the strengths of Israel's security establishment
00:14and ability to project force, especially towards Iran,
00:18is a good coordination with the U.S. and the fact that we have the U.S. backing.
00:22The fact that the U.S. president wants to reach an agreement with Iran
00:26and Israel wants to see the extension of this war is problematic
00:30because it actually shows to our friends and also enemies in the region, like Iran, that we are not aligned.
00:36And this is a major problem.
00:37It's not only when Trump's saying, I'm not interested that Israel return back to the war,
00:41but actually alluring to the fact that Israel will do anything that he wants.
00:45And actually, I'm not sure that he's got it wrong.
00:47So the problem that we have right now is actually twofold.
00:50One, that we are highly depending on the U.S.
00:53and it will be very hard for Israel to act alone without the U.S. support.
00:56But even more than that, even the U.S. will reach an agreement with Iran.
01:00Israel has no ability to change its reality.
01:04Netanyahu cannot go to the Congress and give a speech against Trump like he did with Obama era.
01:09So we are in a very problematic situation where we're not supported by the U.S. in continuing of the
01:13war
01:14and the U.S. is pushing us for an agreement that Israel doesn't want to see with Iran.
