Johor police are tracking down three foreign suspects who allegedly attacked 56-year-old Grab driver, Goh Kong Meng, on the night of June 9 in Skudai.

The men, believed to be intoxicated, reportedly turned violent after Goh asked them to fasten their seatbelts and keep the noise down.

00:16many Malaysians demanding the suspects be swiftly apprehended. The three men who were allegedly
00:21intoxicated assaulted 56-year-old Gokong Meng in Tamantan Sri Yaakob, Skudai at around 9.30pm
00:28on June 9. Go lodged a police report the following morning at around 11am. Iskandar Puteri District
00:35Police Chief ACPM Kumarasan confirmed police received a report and are actively tracking down
00:40the suspects. Investigations are being conducted under Section 323 of the Penal Code for Voluntarily
00:46Causing Hurt and Section 506 for Criminal Intimidation. Caretaker State Health and Environment Committee
00:54Chairman, Ling Tian Sun, visited the victim at his home to present aid, accompanied by members of a
01:00Gig Economy Association. MCA President Datuk Seri Dr. Wee Ka Siong also reached out to the victim via
01:06video call during the visit. Ling called on Grab to review its standard operating procedures to better
01:11protect drivers, noting that while the platform already has protections in place for customers,
01:17drivers need stronger safeguards too. Anyone with information is urged to contact the nearest police
