00:00There's a historical coincidence fueling an unexpected theory for the 2026 World Cup.
00:05And it doesn't come from football. It comes from the New York Knicks.
00:09In 1970, Mexico hosted the World Cup. That same year, the Knicks reached the NBA Finals.
00:17Brazil ended up winning the tournament. In 1994, the United States hosted the World Cup.
00:22The Knicks returned to the finals. Brazil became champions once again.
00:26And now, the same scenario is appearing again.
00:30The 2026 World Cup will be played in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
00:35At the same time, the Knicks are once again in the NBA Finals.
00:40That means the only two times a World Cup was played in the United States or Mexico,
00:44while the Knicks were in the finals. Brazil lifted the trophy.
00:48What makes this interesting isn't that it explains who will win the World Cup.
00:52It's that, so far, it has never failed.
00:56History doesn't usually repeat itself exactly.
00:58But when coincidences survive for more than half a century, they become part of sports mythology.
01:04And strangely enough, one of the most curious storylines heading into the 2026 World Cup
01:10doesn't begin on a football pitch. It begins in New York.
01:25Everybody loses…
01:25They're not being changed, they're not being changed.
