00:02OpenAI published a report on Wednesday saying Chinese-speaking users employed ChatGPT
00:07to generate anti-Trump slogans in cartoons targeting his trade and tech policies,
00:11according to Reuters. The cartoons depicted Trump behaving disruptively on the global stage.
00:17OpenAI also traced a separate group of users to a Chinese tech company that conducted government
00:22work. That group used the platform to intervene in American debates over AI and data centers,
00:27generating content that portrayed the industry as harmful to ordinary citizens.
00:32OpenAI said both operations appeared to have had little or no effect.
00:36The Chinese embassy in Washington denied familiarity with OpenAI's findings
00:40and rejected what it called groundless attacks against China.
