00:00On Tuesday, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced the implementation of a decree
00:05suspended in-person work in public and private offices on June 11, the opening day of the
00:112026 FIFA World Cup. This measure comes to minimize congestion of the roads and of the
00:17capital, well known for its heavy traffic. In addition, educational activities will be
00:22suspended throughout the day in all its educative levels. However, the Mexican head of state
00:28explained this decree is not mandatory across the entire private sector and that industrial
00:34production, manufacturing and essential services will continue to function normally. This comes
00:40as Mexico finalizes its preparation to host the World Cup's opening match between Mexico
00:46and South Africa.
00:51Se suspenden las labores el dÃa 11.
00:54Work activities will be suspended on July 11 for private and public offices. I will therefore
01:02explain the purpose of this decree to ensure it is implemented in a way that prevents traffic
01:07and avoids problems on the day of the World Cup, or rather, on the day of the World Cup opening
01:14ceremony.
01:14What?
01:15See you then.
01:15Go away!
01:16Go back!
01:16Okay, what's going on?
