00:01Here we go. Same rules as always. Top four go through. Look at 22. Cody Schock. Yeah, wasn't expecting that.
00:10And the 101. I think Luke Clout there as well.
00:17Let's do it. Last chance qualifier. This is going to be tough.
00:22Really tough. Cody Schock gets away to a flyer. He's got that inside line too.
00:31He's got that inside line too.
00:40Watch at Cody Schock right here, Diff. He just got to keep it cool. Get into that main event.
00:47And it's definitely not where he wanted to be. Obviously, they didn't mow all the whoops down.
00:52Just the end there. So still difficult with all those ruts.
00:57All right. This is Landon Hartz of Wilsonville, Alabama, aboard his EBR Performance Racing Yamaha.
01:06And Landon gets a bonus $1,000 straight up by being selected by the Rocky Mountain ATV, the private tier
01:14payout.
01:14He gets an additional $1,000 if he makes it through to the main event. He's got to be in
01:19the top four.
01:22Man, these guys fighting so hard. Get in that position.
01:27He's there. He's in a really good spot at the moment.
01:30So this could be a $2,000 race for Landon. Well, wish him well. He's going to plan so far.
01:46Now, Diff, we talked about opportunities for some of these riders.
01:49Oh, Hartz trying to make the move.
01:54But talking about opportunities for riders, you know, to have personal bests or get their first wins, whether it's a
02:00heat race, main event.
02:02This is a prime example. We've got two guys inside the top four that has never made the main.
02:13It's a really good effort from the 1.40 of Russell Buceri.
02:17Yeah.
02:18For his 3D Racing KTM, sitting second.
02:22Then Hartz, the Rocky Mountain ATV private tier recipient.
02:27There's Buceri and Hartz and gets on the 300.
02:30Jonathan gets, is in the mix.
02:33Hayes Edwards is trying to get himself up there as well.
02:39Ricky, we've watched quite a bit of Jonathan gets this morning on this 300.
02:43Yeah, we did.
02:43And he was pretty snappy through the whoops.
02:45Well, he was.
02:45And what was impressive, and I was, you know, his stature, being a smaller in stature guy and the amount
02:51of speed that he got there.
02:53A lot like Cole Davies, not overly tall, but the entry speed that he had, the commitment that he had
02:58at the whoops was pretty incredible.
03:01Loved what I saw from him.
03:05Slipping and sliding there a little.
03:06Yeah, it is getting slick.
03:09Brain just absolutely coming down right now.
03:14Relentless, JT.
03:16Well, you can see Cody Shock out there.
03:18And once he gets a lead, which I kind of expect him to be able to pull away the caliber
03:22of rider Cody Shock is.
03:24You know, Ricky, you touched on this earlier, but protecting the motorcycle is going to be really important.
03:28Got to avoid mistakes like that to start with.
03:30But he's not going to have a lot of time.
03:32The mechanics are not going to have time to maybe put a new clutch, to do a lot of maintenance
03:35work before that main event.
03:36They're going to try to get it clean and get him back to the starting line.
03:39So the least amount of damage he can do is only to conserve him well in the main event moving
03:43forward.
03:44That's right.
03:46I think for him, JT, to expand on what you're saying, I mean, the caliber of rider.
03:51I mean, he expects to be in his veins contending for podiums, possibly getting a first win.
03:58We're talking about a guy who's fourth in the championship.
04:01That's what I'm saying.
04:02So, like, this is probably frustrating for him, for sure.
04:07Challenging night.
04:08But you know what?
04:09You got to do the best that you can, and we know he will do that.
04:14Look, there's been the likes of throughout the course of the season.
04:17There's random things that happen.
04:19More big names this year in the 450s have been forced into the last chance qualified.
04:24But in this 250 East Divisional Championship, Daxton Benick has had to go by the LCQ.
04:29The first heat winner, Nick Romano, has gone by the LCQ before, including last week.
04:36Caden Dudney aboard his star Yamaha.
04:38He was forced to go through, and he won, by the way.
04:41Pierce Brown was forced to an LCQ earlier in the year in Birmingham.
04:45That's right.
04:46So plenty of big names have had to do an additional race on the night.
04:53Yeah, as it becomes more parity, obviously, it makes it much more difficult to transfer straight from the heat.
04:59And if you don't get a good start, it's tough.
05:02Now, look, we told you earlier about Jonathan Gens was very effective through the whoops earlier today.
05:07That was when they were dry.
05:08But even in the wet, that graphic just showed you that he had the best time through the whoops.
05:12Oh, and he's able to stand up, using that balance, core, muscles.
05:20Very impressive.
05:24You may remember earlier, during the heat races, we told you, as we look at Cody Schoch with one lap
05:30to go,
05:30we told you the frustrating story for Hayes Edwards last week in Cleveland,
05:35where he was one position out of transferring to the main.
05:40History is repeating.
05:41A week later, Hayes Edwards is one position away from transferring to the main.
05:46I reckon I'd probably like to finish dead last before I finish the first transfer spot.
05:53That's so close.
05:54Yeah, out of the first, yeah, non-transfer spot.
05:57No thanks.
05:58And unfortunately, he is almost six seconds adrift of Jonathan Gens.
06:07Whoa, whoa, hold on.
06:09He's going full send mode.
06:11And look, he's only three seconds behind, so.
06:15It's the first time.
06:17This is his first year at this level.
06:18He's a graduate of the SMX Next program that we just saw.
06:23And there's Gens.
06:24So Gens is viewable.
06:27Yeah, there he is.
06:28He's going for it.
06:29It's the last lap, frustratingly, for Hayes Edwards.
06:32Yeah, he's got to turn it loose right here.
06:34Gets through the whoops.
06:35I think that's the most difficult part of the track here tonight.
06:40Cody Shock says, thank goodness I got a great start and got the whole shot.
06:45And Cody Shock, as expected, wins the last chance qualifier.
06:50We'll see him soon in the main.
06:54Hayes Edwards is giving it everything he possibly can and goes down.
06:59Oh, man.
07:00He was trying.
07:02This is what he did last week.
07:03He was trying to catch Nick Romano for that last spot last week.
07:07He's shaking his head in frustration, but...
07:10Oh, what a bummer.
07:11Two weeks in a row.
07:13Two gutsy rides.
07:15Speaking of two, there is the two-two.
07:18Cody Shock, winner of the LZQ.
07:20GoAAABS.
07:21No, there is a lot of Kluxen.
07:21We're waiting Grandma was appearing.
07:21Most players were.
07:2278.
07:22M梦.
